EAD renewal

My EAD is expiring next month, and my H1B visa has long since expired. If I file for a replacement EAD, does anyone know how long it takes to come through?

Also, what if it doesn't come through in time? Can I still work legally for my employer, or will I have to temporarily find work at a car wash?

Do you have a greencard? How long did it take? Did they charge for it?

The company is dealing with all of my processes. Apparently I'm at the I-485 stage, although I do take the I-23 followed by the I-118 to get to work, an it costs roughly about a tankful of fuel per week, if that's any help?

About 20 minutes...but I hear you're currently at the 3 week mark? Ouch...where are you working? You may want to try moving a little closer.

I knew I was waiting longer than everybody else. :(

It's not fair. The USA has unfair immigration rules. :(

I would've thought working in a bar would be more up your street. If you want to go down the carwash route, do you look good in hotpants and drag? :p

File for a temporary insanity waiver that will allow you to work as a fish wrangler until your I-95 crosses over with your I-75 somewhere south of the turnpike....or is that only in Florida?

Once again......... come on children play in the right playground :)

Thread now closed.

If you have legitimate visa/immigration concerns post them in the appropriate forum.

Don't use the excuse that you don't want them to go out to usenet, because there is an option "Not to send to usenet".
