I love Costco I never get a chance to look at much with my two young ones on the cart but I will take a trip there very soon and also to check them out there.

They've been around for at least 30yrs in the UK. I bought my first one in the summer of '77...they'd been around for a few years by then.

Re: Duvet
wow that is very close by... next time you are in the old town you should pop by.
Dont get to the Old Town much apart from The Town Duck for my Tea bags
Normally in town once a weekish for shopping, eats etc normally Frost Diner (typical greasy spoon) or McMahons (awesome Fish n Chips) with a quiz night on Tuesdays.

I am oposite St James School/Church (the one being rebuilt) behind Winchester Street in a small subdivision. The other entrance is just past the library and the old big white mansion on the corner with the noisy westies in the front lawn.
I'm throwing a party soon after my kitchen is finished. I'll PM you an invite.

Re: Duvet
yes thanks I do. I'll be heading to one of the big malls Sunday (which, I haven't done in a long long time, total oposite of my behaviour when I first came to this country) where the stores are all together so, I can check out all the prices. Thanks again to everyone for all the suggestions.

Re: Duvet
I have members of the family who are allergic to feathers. I bought a synthetic duvet from Ikea and even the thinnest got me through a very cold winter 2 years ago ( with a blanket). I have now bought thicker duvets also from Ikea.
I would not reccomend buying their bedding. The thread count is poor. They are also relatively expensive compared to other stores and not particularly well made. My cover bought at the same time as my duvet has ripped along the opening.
I found a bargain set in TK Max in the UK this summer that I am taking back with me. 400 thread count for $40
