Anyone found a good place to buy nice affordable duvets. The fall chill is fast approaching here and I'm on the lookout for some. I'm so done with this sheet, quilt, blanket, thing they do here.

Not cheap but good- LL Bean, Eddie Bauer, Lands End.

Definitely IKEA--good prices and the quality is okay too. They also have very nice quilt covers.

Depends where in NoVa you are, but there's an Ikea in Woodbridge, and one in
College Park, MD, just off the DC beltway.

Bought mine and my son's from overstock.com,a few years ago....they're still fabulous, and,I saw the other day, $20 cheaper than when I bought them!...they're 100% down,they were $69.99 each,now $49.99 each!,mine are the 'Olympia' ones,and I've been very happy with them.:)

I'm in Warrenton so about 40 mins from Woodbridge. I may well take a little drive with my babies there next week and check it out. Overstock is another good idea. I think there is also a Kohls in Woodbridge too. I don't get out much as I have my hands full ... but I need to get my duvets this year. thanks for all the responses they are a great help.

Have a look on line at Ikea. I like their duvets, we used them in the UK, too.

House of Fraser... the crap they sell in the US is terrible ...

you must check the content ..you need 85% down (min) and 15% feathers
not the other way around ..

Thanks Ray, I will make a note of that when I shop for them. I guess going for 85% down puts the price up but will make them nice an cosy and hopefully last longer!

yes, best for the stitching to be in squares so it doesn't keep falling to one end ;)

it be more expensive ..but then quality is ..
it will last you many many years ...

Yes, the squares are called 'baffle box' they do a great job!

The duvet we got last year at Home Goods is actually too heavy for anything but winter use. It's wonderful in the winter, but a bit too much for summer, spring or fall.
