If you're in FL you will have to do the motorcycle course whether you have it on another license or not. The law changed effective July 1 2008. There is no way around it I'm afraid. I don't know where you are, but I just did the course for my MC endorsement here in Clearwater and it was 2 days. Yes, it was $200.

I'm in the North West of Florida, The Panhandle or as some say Southern Alabama. Thanks for the kick into reality regarding the 30day is residence. I will look into the insurance legalities and no doubt ride extremely carefully from now on!
Hi to 'Crazy Biker Chick'. My girlfriend is hooked on the Harley despite not wanting me to get a big loud bike. She is always asking for us to take two wheels when we go out.
