Default Driving a Hummer

Hi all

I have a special question for you. I dream of driving a Hummer once for a couple of days.

Does anyone know if they are for rent somewhere. Location should be in the south or in the west of USA

Thanks for your help and i wish you a nice day

regards

Jan

no no... he SHOULD be driving a Hummer through the N.E. and D.C. areas. Aren't
driving lanes much more narrow in this part of the country?

You can drive the real thing and get paid for it. Just visit your local U.S. Army
recruiter for a free lesson. Downside is you have to do it the next three years.

Yup, just wide enough for my bike - the way I like it!

A number of car rental places do rent Hummers (unfortunately).

Its very large and uses fuel extravagantly (10 mpg), its not exactly comfortable, has
a top speed of around 70mph and is very noisy.

yes there is a prejudice by people who believe that they can dictate what is right
for others to do

Because a lot of us don't like to see these huge gas gustling vehicles clogging our
roads and using extraordinary amounts of a natural resource and taking up 2 or 3
parking spaces at a time.

What you may want to do is to find an auto-dealership in a town you are visiting, and
go for a test drive of this vehicle. Convince the sales person that you are
interested in buying the vehicle, not just out for a joyride.

I have to use the roads too, and I'm not that excited about sharing them with
something that takes up so much space and creates so much pollution, and serves no
purpose beyond self-indulgence.

too bad for you, the vehicles are no larger than any truck or bus and who the hell
are you to decide on what somebody cares to indulge themselves with

Who the hell am I to decide? Do I get to decide? Not that I'm aware of, unless I have
recently been granted statutory authority to forbid classes of vehicles from the
public roads. Have I? I wish they'd tell me these things.

I'm allowed to care in the same way as anyone else is allowed to care about anything
they want to, particularly if it affects them. You may not like it if someone moves
in next door to you and blasts Einsturzende Neubaten at top volume 24 hours a day; I
don't like it if people needlessly drive excessively large vehicles around the city
where I live.
