Dress Code For K-1 Visa Appointment
Hi there,
My K-1 visa appointment is scheduled for this coming Wednesday. I was just wondering if there is a dress code? Would it be wise to wear a shirt and tie or would I be fine wearing something smart yet casual?
Thanks,
Nick

I think I wore a suit, but there were people there in jeans and t-shirts. No one in the group was denied.

Casual dress, i.e. clean, hole free jeans, button down or sports shirt, sneakers or closed shoes, hair combed, tatoos covered, nose and tongue piercings removed.

Hello / Boun giorno
Welcome to our forum herein.
Do not worry or be afraid as to dress code as this is not a "style "
contest but rather a simple yet im-formal meeting with the
representatives of our great Government. Just dress as per your class
ie what ever you are comfortable in. That is what I always advise.
These "interviews are always a formality and dress and every thing
else matters little.
Proceed with joy in your heart and oyu will walk out on the path to
being a member of our great Society. I would advise that at a later
date you consider moving to Italy as the dollar is doomed . But for
now .... hold you head high in oyur favorite cloth be it Armani
( me) or TJ max ( others I know here ) .... you will prevail either
way.
Best wishes Julia
ps I will try to be a more productive and more prolific poster herein
after receiving so many requests that I post on a more regular time
scale. As a busy professional endowed with great success it is hard
but I will try.

Your dress sense isn't a factor for the immigration process. I went dressed as Ace Ventura and all was well.

smart casuals would be fine...but whatever your most comfortable in, you'll be nervous enough as it is without wearing something your not comfortable in.
