Default Dream Job Alert!! $100,000 for watching the telly

Would You Dare Do THIS for $100,000?

If you'd like a salary of $100,000 with flexible hours and location, as well as a fancy schmancy job title to impress your family and friends, this is just your opportunity. The position: Vice President, CMT Dukes of Hazzard Institute. The main responsibility: Watching "The Dukes of Hazzard" reruns five nights a week. We aren't kidding. This is real!

CNN/Money reports that the job being offered by Viacom's Country Music Television channel requires the successful applicant to not only watch the reruns every weeknight, but also know all the words to "The Dukes of Hazzard" theme song and write the "Dukes of Hazzard" online blog for CMT.com, Country Music Television's Web site. The contract lasts for one year. In addition, the person must be available for media interviews to "share his or her expertise and passion" about the show and make appearances at various events, including Dukefest 2005 in Bristol, Tenn., in June. (Do check your calendar before applying.)

If you want this job, you must have a valid driver's license because you'll also have to drive the General Lee. The who? If you have to ask, you probably won't get the job. The General Lee is the orange 1969 Dodge Charger driven by Bo and Luke Duke on the show. No relevant work experience is required and the powers-that-be may not even ask about your educational background.

But you will have to be more than a couch potato. You have to show some creativity to get this job. The application asks these two questions:
--If you, Bo, Luke, and Daisy took off in the General Lee, what would happen next?"
--If Waylon Jennings wrote your theme song, what would the title chorus be?"

I'd like to apply however I do think someone with a slight Lancashire accent and a deep loathing for country music might not get the job.

I know of prime candidate for this job. His name is Jimmie Grissom and he lives in NC.

I did have a link to a story about this huge DoH fan but you have to register to read the story from the local rag, the News and Observer.
