Dog arriving at Las Vegas Airport

Hello Everyone

I am moving my dog Manchester to Las Vegas in Oct, I am using a pet carrier. I was just wondering if Las Vegas airport have any unexpected charges when I collect him.

Ive looked at the website but cant see much.

Anyone had experience of Las Vegas Airport and pets. They now have a temp controlled van collecting from airline:D

Regards
Jo

From our experience importing a cat through JFK in New York, I think it's pretty standard to have to pay a small-ish fee ($40 in our case) for the paperwork to be processed at the cargo receiver.

In our case the procedure was
1) go to the cargo reception to collect the paperwork
2) take it to US Customs (for cargo, not the customs for people that you go through when you arrive) to be electronically authorised. The person who does this has to be the person named on the original paperwork with the pet shipper
3) take the paperwork back to cargo reception, pay the fee (I *think* it was cash only for us) and collect the pet.

Needless to say, the cargo reception facility and US Customs were at opposite ends of JFK...
