Documentation mismatch: surnames

Regarding foreign birth certificates and passports, the applicant's name and her parents' names are stated with the surnames first, as is common amongst the Chinese. For example, where the surname is "Leong", the name is stated as "Leong Mei Yi" instead of Mei Yi Leong". Will this be a problem for INS documentation? Has anyone had such experience with this?

Re: Documentation mismatch: surnames

Fill all forms as one would in the US. First name First, middle name Middle and last
name in Last Name blanks. This will not cause confusion if you do it right.
