You cheeky monkey!

I've got a mate named Simon who's lived in the US :)

What about Bo Bice from American Idol, his real name is Harold. I think if I was a boy called Harold I'd change my name too.

I actually dont mind Lisa as it happens I would much rather have that than both the names my parents were arguing over when I was first born. They settled on Lisa. See what you think:

Mum wanted...Dennet :scared:

Dad wanted Meredith

Yes I do, even as a child I used to say "it's Victoria not Vicky".

I like my name even though it runs in the family. My grandad, uncle, cousin and step-cousin have the same name as me.

David beats Siobhan anyway - which is what I'd be called if I'd been born a girl.

But Mercedes was originally a girls name (meaning Grace, in Spanish) taken for use on a car, named after the daughter of Emil Jellinek, an Austrian businessman, who bought a fleet of thirty-six cars and named them. It seems odd now, especially as they were built as "Simplex", and designed by Wilhelm Maybach - the same Maybach that Mercedes Benz now uses for its hyper-luxury car.

My name has several common shortened versions, but I have always used the full name, except when I was at high school, when we were all known by our surnames to the teaching staff and I was known by my middle name to my classmates.

I really like mine it's Portia/Porsha (I use both spellings of the name, ones on birth certificate, other is on passport)! :p

I used to think that it was quite unique, until names like Mercedes started poping up, now I am always associated with the car!

Still love it though. :D

Better than being called Ford Escort or Skoda.
