Question Disabled travel on planes

Hi

Can anyone recommend an airline (from the UK to Newark or Chicago) which takes good care of the disabled (in a wheelchair) on the plane? I heard British Airways do, but just wanted to know about any personal experiences / recommendations.

Thanks!

Some years ago when I had a broken leg and travelled to Harare BA took very good care of me, both on the outward and return legs. These days most of the airlines outsource such things as wheel chair service at the airports, so the difference will come with the service the cabin crew provide.
