Just haven't ever heard marijuana being called that.

He did specifically say she doesn't smoke it.

I don't understand your objection to his avatar. Many people on here use flags or combinations of flags.

This was after giving birth, however. I had an emergency c section for the little lion, I refused narcotics afterwards because they make me sleep for hours on end, and I had a new baby to feed etc. Hospital gave me 800 mgs of ibuprofen every 6 hours instead.

Blow is cocaine where I come from, not pot. Largely due to the way it is inhaled I should think.

I thought the flag was honouring the anti apartheid movement...

I have only ever heard cocaine referred to as "blow". There are plenty of synonyms for cannabis (marijuana, weed, pot, dope, etc.), but "blow" is not one of them.

Ibuprofen is fine after delivery, and is pretty effective...Hope the little lion did well Were you offered Torodol? We have been giving 3 doses IV, 6 hours apart. Its non narcotic and very effective for C/S pain.

Ibuprofen is a problem in the third trimester for the baby. Prescribing Ibuprofen in labor is not an acceptable practice, and doesn't meet any standard of care. OB is such a litigious area in the US. I don't know of a physician that would give a laboring mom this drug, and then risk being hung out to dry if the baby had a cardiac problem.

I have no idea what it was, since it was 14 years ago and I didn't even take it.

Mum and child well though.

Can I record telephone conversations on my home phone?

Yes. The relevant law, RIPA, does not prohibit individuals from recording their own communications provided that the recording is for their own use. Recording or monitoring are only prohibited where some of the contents of the communication - which can be a phone conversation or an e-mail - are made available to a third party, ie someone who was neither the caller or sender nor the intended recipient of the original communication.

So you can record it but you can't make it available to anyone else.

I've yet to see RIPA enforced in that way. I've published plenty of private phone calls between myself & companies to highlight bad customer service and have never had plod coming knocking. Though, I don't dispute the accuracy of your post , I just know the implementation of that law is essentially unenforced.

I think it is a civil law, not a criminal one, so you run the risk of being sued, not arrested.

It's definitely criminal. http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2000/23/contents

Not that the UK government bothers to adhere to its own legislation (see en masse abuse of this act by GCHQ) so why should others?
