Depositing Money to my US bank acct.
Hello,
I used to live & work in the US on a H1B visa. I was about to be laid off and so I
left the U.S about 6 months back prior to the layoff. My car was with my room-mate
and has recently been sold. I still have an active bank account in the USA. Can I
just deposit this money to the U.S bank account ? It is legal ..The bank is OK with
this, but do I have to report this to the IRS or otherwise be aware of any tax/legal
implications ? Please advise.
