Amused they didn't remove info on the notice letter such as the case file number...

Anyway, who cares, pair of muppets...and yes, I've heard "destroy" used to mean party it up before.

Wow. I'm in agreement with materialcontroller.

This is goes to my point about mindless authoritarianism. No sense of humor. No exercise of common sense.
Do terrorists really tweet their intentions? A simple explanation of the vernacular should've been sufficient.

Agreed, this is a total overkill. But I wonder why they were let them on the plane in the first place?

Holy moly. Agreement with Giantaxe and materialcontroller on the same day. I wondered why those four horsemen just galloped past my window.

Giantaxe, could it be quotas? Look, we turned away some caucasians.

It's hilarious until you realise that it's your tax dollars that is paying for this.

Anyone remember Luke Angel?

Some years ago an American traveling back to Chicago out of Heathrow was asked what was in his violin case. His reply "A machine gun", got him locked up in Heathrow police station for 24 hours and the only airline that would carry him back to the US was Air India. Now that is a punishment.

One thing the world over that airport security staff and immigration officers have in common. no sense of humor. It should be something every traveler remembers.

Looking at them I would have booted them out without the tweets.

Lets face it, the tweets alerted and provoked the authorities. But I bet the manner in which they presented at the Port of entry didn't do them any favours.

Many people travel thinking they have the right to enter another country, and those of us who have been through the American immigration process know that only American Citizens have the right to enter the country.

I suspect that there is more to the story and I'd love to have been a fly on the wall to watch and listen to what was said, and how it was said.

Exactly! Those who wish to do harm to the President, this country or the UK, only have to succeed once where as those trying to protect this country, or the UK etc cannot afford to slip up at all.

I am currently doing my specialization in Mental Health and one of our patients/clients made threats towards the President. Upon his release by law Secret Service/FBI (can't remember which one) had to be notified so that they could check to see if it was a viable threat or not.

I'm all for free speech but who in the world would put something like that on twitter knowing the history of 911?

Doesn't it make you feel all warm and fuzzy that the authorities are watching everything being said on the internet? That DHS has created a fake profiles for following social media? Be interesting to know how they matched his tweet to a name.
Welcome to the panopticon, people.

Welcome to the panopticon, people.

He tweeted under his name.

If they still couldn't manage to work out who he was, he also told them when and where he would be coming.

But I'm with you, unfortunately. BS baffles brains is endemic in paramilitary organizations.
