Declaration for Free Entry of Unaccompanied Articles - moving paperwork

Hi all, I know this is a board for British expats, but perhaps a few of you moved an American spouse back and might have dealth with the same questions I'm working on for the Declaration for Free Entry of Unaccompanied Articles that I have to give to my moving company.

In Part IV of the form there are questions that relate to US residents moving back to the US. Under B), No. 8 asks if you have foreign household effects acquired abroad and used more than one year. Most of our goods actually came with us from the US, but a couple of things are from here. The moving company said to just leave that blank. Is that ok? What did you do?

Also, on C) under Part IV, No.9, it asks if you are bringing personal effects acquired abroad. Again, most of what we have originated from the States, either when we came here or from visits (we tended to buy clothes on trips home). But of course we have a few things from the UK. Again, we were told to leave this blank. What did you guys do?

Perhaps this question is best asked at http://www.uk-yankee.com/.

Thanks, I did. I often get more response and feedback on this forum, so I'm giving it a shot here, too.

There's a MBTUK part to BE too, where folks have moved back. They might have more advice than the main US part of BE :/
