Damaged Passport

Hi all,

I'm flying back to the UK in September, and my passport is damaged (went through the wash, long story). Anyway, the last time I flew over in 2007, they said I'd have to get a replacement passport, but I've bothered doing so until I need to. Does anyone know the process of obtaining a replacement, what it costs, etc.?

My nearest British embassy is Chicago.

Thanks!

Man but you Brits sure do believe in keeping those passports in odd places. Did you have it in the pocket of jeans or shirt that you decided needing washing.

Google is your friend. Visit the British Consulate website for the information you are looking for.
