No, his first degree was a BA in philosophy. Then he decided that he wanted a degree in architecture but had none of the prerequisites so that took another 3 years to get his BS. Then he went on to get his masters in architecture.

Does anyone know if the Child Status Protection Act only protects children of US citizens that are applying for a green card or it protects any children that have a long term visa and are applying for a green card?
Ive looked all over and I cant seem to find a definate answer.

Bottom line: I recommend that you - or rather your parents have a paid consultation with an immigration attorney experienced with the CSPA. Making life-altering decisions solely based on Google and the opinion of strangers on an internet forum is never a good idea.

... and that you intend to comply with the terms of the F-1 visa - which means leaving the US at the end of your studies - of course if you acquire another status in the interim which allows you to stay in the US (be it a green card, marriage to a US citizen with adjustment of status, or a job offer from an employer who is willing to sponsor you) then that is OK, but it none of those things happen then you still have to leave the US at the end of your F-1 ...

Yes, it is possible but there are restrictions on what kind of work you can do (must be directly related to your studies) and it isn't automatic.

And usually it tends to expire a few months before the H1B quota opens up, which puts some employers off who might be looking to hire you on permanently after the internship.
