Looks straightforward enough. I won't be trying it. I prefer genuine Indian and Thai curries myself.

Just bringing this back up, because I bought some from Walmart yesterday. It's in a gold box like someone already mentioned and I believe it was $1.89. Haven't tried it yet, but will be very soon.

I had a chef stay with me last week and he taught me how to make an Indian curry. Did it last night and I swear it's as good as anything I had in Rusholm. Bloody lovely, even if I do say so myself.

Search no more, I have found a solution;
It is called S & B Golden curry sauce. It comes in a block from which you can make a curry sauce to serve with noodles, rice, chips etc. or add meat and veggies for a pretty authentic UK style Chinese curry ( even though S & B is actually Japanese.)
I have included a picture from a UK website so you know what you are looking for;

I originally found S & B Golden curry sauce in Little Tokyo in downtown LA however I have since bought it from Pavillions in Los Angeles( but they only stock the medium hot unlike Little Tokyo which has the hot ).
A search for S & B Golden curry sauce on the internet also comes up with numerous on-line sources............... now if I could just find some prawn crackers to go with it?!?!

Thanks for the information Tom....I know that's one of the things I miss from the UK. We had a fantastic Chinese takeaway up the road from where we lived and that was always what I ordered....Curry Special....I can taste it now. Had chicken, beef, prawns and that special curry sauce.....Oh yummmmy and then dipping a bag of prawn crackers in it....big time fattening, but oh so good!

If you live in the NEW YORK area there is a Irish section in the bronx McClean Ave sells everything sausage rolls sausage links by the pound bacon by the pound curry sauce all tins crisps choccy Lilt I go every month and stock up.
I stumbled on it one day and it was my saviour. another tip my husband bought pie pastry, mashed potatos added chopped onion and cheese then baked in the oven great cheese and onion pastys...
I went into google and typed English imports and it bought up quite a few shops in the neighbourhood who carry them.
