as mentioned, stop applying for cards, it'll wreck your none existing score...
as for amex, do a search on the website, someone posted link here before, but you'll find it on amex in the deep depth for them to issue a US card from UK card type thing.

Amex will not give you a credit score - they report your payments history and balances etc to the credit bureaus and this is factored into your score.
I am surprised they gave you a card without a SSN - so it might be a UK card - in which case you are SOL - when i converted my UK Amex to a US one (actually kept both so converted is wrong word!) then I think I had to wait until I gave them my SSN?
