Hi All,

I will be moving to the US from the UK shortly, Bentonville area, can anyone suggest any banks that I can open from the UK to help start building up my credit history within the US to avoid starting from a fresh?

Any recommendations appreciated?

Also does anyone have any ideas to share about how starting from a fresh credit history has affected them whilst in the US, such as higher interest rates on car payments, utilities, etc.

These questions have been asked many times. Might I suggest that you (i) take a look at the wikis, and (ii) use the search function looking for recent threads on banks and credit.

Have you tried using the Search function? There must be about 100 threads on this subject.

In short, until you have a US address and SSN, you can't start building a credit score. The only thing that (it seems) transfers across is an Amex card.
