Moving stateside this summer, can you transfer your british credit report, and does anybody know any names of these firms, thanks in advance.

You more or less have to start from scratch with everything...including driving history for insurance. We have had one or two people in the past that have said they've done it but most of us have had to start at square one.

AmEx if you've had it over 12 months will help you get a card over here and some credit history, but you're starting from scratch generally, for everything.

Plenty of threads explaining it though, and a rather good wiki covering a lot of credit/banking topics.
