I appreciate that this subject relates primarily to the USA but just to publicise what our(UK) Lord Chief Justice Phillips is saying in the UK papers of today on the matter of offenders, is that Murderers should be released earlier from prison or we will end up with prisons full of geriatrics ?.Maybe, we should start to look at the judges first.

You overlooked Timothy Evans in my previous post. Had his wife and daughter murdered and was then hung for the crimes himself, also mentally retarded.

Evans' case was one of the reasons the death penalty was abolished in the UK............. of course I was'nt there when that happened either, so bollocks to him

I am normally 99.9% against the death penalty. This is one of those very, very rare occasions when I agree it should be imposed.
It's evil and bad enough he raped her - but to then bury her alive. It is utterly horrific.
