Are you a US citizen or do you have work authorisation for the US?
If not you may wish to read this WIKI first: http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Pulask...ork_in_the_USA

And to get an idea of market conditions check out dice.com.
However unless you were starting your own business you'd need an employer to apply for a visa. They won't do that for a contractor.

I operate through my own limited company in the UK and I want to branch out into the US Market, would I have to get a employee visa? in order to work as a contractor for multiple employers, as B2B

Are you talking about continuing to work remotely from the UK, or coming to the US to work?

That leaves you with getting a employer based job offer or company transfer.
As to finding work, apart from dice, indeed, LinkedIn and just general networking.

Do you want contracts from American companies that you do while residing in the USA? You will need a visa first to work in the USA. Employment visas are sponsored by the employer, so you'd have to find someone willing to sponsor you (hint: they aren't going to sponsor a contractor, only an employee). If you have the cash to set up your own company in the US (and jump through many other hoops) you can look at the E visas, but if it is just you and not you & many employees that is probably a dead end.
