Contacting DMV in Arizona
Does anybody know of a way to contact the AZ DMV without needing to quote an AZ driver license number?
I'm trying to find out the process & timescales involved for newly arrived non-US citizens to obtain a license - we're coming out around September time on an L1 visa. Cheers Harry |

Their DOT seems to have a half decent web site
http://www.azdot.gov/mvd/azwelcome.asp you need only 2 forms of ID for driving licence application, passport with I-94 and SS card |

Oh, and to the OP, spouse probably needs EAD as proof for the drivers license and that takes up to 90 days to get. Might not be a requirement in Arizona, but it often is. |

Find the driving manual (it'll be a pdf download somewhere on the site) and print it out to read on the plane -- this has all the answers to the theory part. Pay special attention to the rules for teenage drivers -- they may not apply to you BUT they will be in the test.
saved my ass during the test |
