Consumer Protection??!!

I was under the impression that here in the good-ol' US of A where consumer protection is almost non existent compared to Blighty, that the BBB - Better Business Bureau - was a lone voice in the storm...

It seems not - it seems that it too is just another nightmare.

Is this right?

While it costs to belong, I think Angie's List is about as trustworthy as you are going to get over here.

BBB if the company has a bad report stay away, if they have a good one look to confirm it somewhere else as well.

It's a locally run site -- think it's based out of Snottsdale. Been on the web for years, though it used to be called the worsebusinessbureau. They never remove complaints from the database.....unlike BBB.

Is this the 2010 investigation? This led to them changing how they do ratings. Being a member no longer gains points (how they now encourage members to pay up I do not know)

I generally like the idea of calling out some of the astrologers and psychics as fake.
