when you say cash do you mean bundles of $20 bills or do you mean a wire / bankers draft / check? I could see dealers not wanting to deal with the IRS paperwork for actual cash:

if it’s anything like real estate I feel like people say cash to mean not financed, not that that a cash buyer in NYC is rocking up with a truck with $10m in it for an apartment...

Exactly....and in my case I mean pay by cheque
