Hi All:
I am in USA on H-1B visa. I have recently filed for GC thru my spouse and got interview letter for EAD. I want to know can I travel before the interview date ( i donot have advance parole but my h-1b is valid till 2003 end)

As long as you have not changed employers yes you can.

This is possibly correct and possibly incorrect. The regulations require that the
H-1B holder has the I-797 receipt for filing for adjustment of status. Unless the
application is via a service center (which for immediate relative petitions would
only be for the Baltimore office) you won't have one of these because the local INS
offices don't do them. Therefore you wouldn't meet the requirements specified. What
is not clear is what would happen if you entered with the H-1B anyway.

But Andy,
if my H-1b is valid and i am still employed with the same employer, shouldn't i be ok?
