Oh, I've contemplated being rude many times. Why are you posing with, what is that, an 870?

Also, moderator or no, was that a threat?

There are some good people on these boards who offer good advice, and there are also some smug, elitist know-it-alls.

PartyStar: how dare you scoff at the lady enquiring about Florida? Yes, I've seen numerous posts of that type and, if they aren't trolls, they can make one roll one's eyes. But people like you turn my stomach.
What did you do to get here to the States? Nothing, apart from riding the coat-tails of your spouse.

Ooo handbags! Well that is very nice to know. I came on a plane. You?

No superiority here. I'm just a lowly John Q.
Maybe I'm being a bit harsh on PartyStar, but there's definitely an I'm-alright-Jack attitude that sometimes rears its head on this forum.

Dreams / plans have to start somewhere, right?

My route was H1b. Was 22 when I came over. Nope, I don't have a degree.

agreed, but we add the dose of realism that is sometimes sadly lacking.

What is just playful banter between cyber friends may look like nastiness etc to an onlooker.

We get a fair number of trolls here who are just wasting our time. What we don't like is a newbie being rude. Please say hello and introduce yourself...try starting a new thread saying hi and then see what response you get. Once you get your feet under the table....that's the time to be rude. :D

Yip. Another one here. Living in Littleton, west of Denver. If I can be of assistance, please get in touch. Also, keep your eyes fixed on this board. Not olny is it an oracle of information, sarcasm and banter it is hugely entertaining and somewhat addictive!

What's an 'I'm-alright-Jack attitude'?

And be as harsh as you like, I can take it!

Good for you. There's nothing wrong with working your way to the top.... Not just anybody can qualify for the H visas.

But in all fairness, there's nothing wrong with moving to be with your spouse, whether it be across town or across the world.
