Default Cob Nuts & Greengages

I was just nibbling on a Hazlenut and remembered Cob Nuts. Oh, how long it is since I tasted one of these gorgeous things.

Anyone ever seen or heard of them in the US ?

Greengages too - my favourite plum. Can you get these anywhere here ?

Greengages are probably out of season at the moment, aren't they?

It seems that there's a Spanish word for greengage so when they come into season, you might find them in your local Latino tienda. It's a long shot but perhaps one avenue you could try.

I like damsons and though it's too late in the year for them, I've never seen those fruit either in the US.

I wish I could get some bramleys so I can show all these yanks that apple pie without cinnamon is not bland!

Get bramleys here, at the local co-op every now and again...there's a couple random apple places around...
though my favourite apple would be the pink lady.

I picked Royal Gala apples while I was in NZ. They are great! - wouldn't cook with them though
