I get the Tetley British Blend from Jewel, they make a nice cuppa. Our Jewel (at least the one by work) used to have a small British section selling tea, Ribena, Yorkies et al but it got annexed by the Mexican foods section and disappeared without a trace

Technically I already am. They didn't test me on my hyperbolae though, seemed quite in a rush to get rid of me actually

A supermarket. Did a quick Wikipedia check and discovered that it's only found in IL, IA and IN. D'Oh!

I don't think any supermarket chain is national...maybe some are owned by the same parent company but called a different name. Around here we have
Super Stop n Shop, ShopRite, King's, Food Town...I think that's about it.

Wal Mart and K Mart would be about it I suppose, but I guess those are technically department stores and not supermarkets.

Bloody hell, shows what I know - I'm more insular than some of the locals. I might even be part Australian

(heavily laced with irony of course, need I point out!)

I wouldn't class those as supermarkets...food is a side line item...or at least it used to be but their priorities seem to be changing with the times.

Aye - well they do have the 'supercentres' that have a big food section, both marts; Wal and K are the 'super' versions down our way, so I find myself in either for grocery shopping quite a bit.

Usually a combination of shops depending on what's on sale . . .

Both have super stores in this area. I guess I don't think of them as supermarkets because when I moved here in '96 they didn't really sell food.

Our K has always been the super store, but the Walmart when I originally came out was just the normal one with a tiny food section selling essentials.

Last year they built a big shiny new one with a bloody enormous food section, and packed it full of more 'People of Walmart' than you could ever wish to run into
