Hey - if you're from Slough you don't need to apologise for anything. Big up the Slough Massive.

If that is true, then it is incorrect. It is not "pre", it is just clearance. Pre means that there is further clearance to go through at the US POE when you arrive. There isn't, so it is just going through customs/immigration at the "wrong" end of the trip

Okie dokie, no worries Shane!

Oh and tonrob, yeah, I feel like I have paid my dues. It's a bit like being American and being born in Detroit I would imagine.

So would this Brit. Even though I'm generally a tea man and don't drink coffee much at all. Visiting my mate up in AB, he took me to a Timmies and it bloody well did the job (nor did it smell like knob cheese )

Starbucks tastes like piss though, I wouldn't drink that stuff if you paid me!

Yep - I'm not much of a coffee drinker as it is so when I do get one I like it to taste like it hasn't already been drunk once before . . .

Hubby is a (former) Slough-ster.

And I, too, found Tim Horton's lacking. Give me the Krispy Kreme or Donutland (from when I lived in Iowa) ANY day. Can't speak about their coffee though as I don't drink it.

What HAVE you been putting in your face, really?
I'm assuming you have some experience to back that up...

OK - I was guilty of overusing my poetic license, I'll admit it . . .

The knob cheese remark was based on Tonrob's assessment of how a Timmie's he had visited smelt. The one(s) I was in did not smell cheesy at all, knob or otherwise.

As to the 'tastes like piss' - I will admit that was not backed up by any kind of research or evidence. Just getting lost in the metaphors since 'didn't taste very nice', while adequate, just seemed kind of boring to me

You'll have to excuse me, I'm in a funny mood today.
