Ok, so I have my greencard, and i'm happily to a man in the USAF. However, back in London, I was told by the lady that gave me my interview at the embassy, to keep all my immigration receipts, because i'll be able to claim it back from the military, through pcs. Is anyone familiar with this? No one I know seems to know anything about it.

Hi,
THIS SHOULD NOT BE CONSTRUED TO BE LEGAL ADVICE. I AM NOT A LAWYER. I DON'T EVEN PLAY ONE ON TV! I am, however, a retired Air Force officer and while I have never heard of immigration expenses being covered through a PCS move, I'd suggest you check it out. The best place to do so would be through the Judge Advocates office wherever your husband is stationed. This type of legal advice is one of your husband's military benefits. It's free and they will be happy to give him an opinion. Ed MacNeil Ancient Aviator North Hampton, NH, USA ophelia101 wrote: > > > > > > > |
