Default City swap.....

Here's a fun question.....

What do you think would happen if say......London and New York were magically transposed for one day? Just the cities mind you, not the people. Just think about it, Londoners would wake up to find themsevles living in NY, while New Yorkers would awake to discover they now live in London. At the end of the day the cities switch back to their normal locals, but what a day of hilarity it would likely be.

While were on the subject, what other cities would you like to see "switched" for a day? If you could pick any one US city and any one UK city and switch them for a day, which ones would you choose and why?

I have a feeling this thread could produce quite a few laughs....so have at it you lot.

I intended this thread to be fun and humorous, I would rather it not be turned into a political debate.

Well said RIncewind, it would be nice for inhabitants of certain areas of dc to live in the more peaceful environs of Baghdad !

As Jabba1 suggests, 'what a day of hilarity it would likely be.'

And what about the narrow, winding roads

It's a good job we haven't suggested transporting Devon or Cornwall over

Hollywood, Birmingham and it's namesake in Cali.

Burton-on-trent and St Louis, MO (it's a beer thing )

Birmingham UK and Detroit -the two motor cities. Who'd notice the difference?

NY and LA -for a giggle

How about:

Long Island, NY and Venice, Italy?

Preston, Lancashire and Detroit, Michigan?

The ultimate changing places would have to be:
Durham, NC with Cheltenham, Glos.
