It only seems like a couple of months that we heard about the Mayonnaise trade problems that occured in the past!

At least have the dignity to hide your ignorance. Google will assist to that end.

The 5th of May is celebrated in the United States among the Mexican-American population, especially in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Various Mexican-American societies use the celebrations to commemorate the overthrow of the Mexican Imperial Monarchy headed by Maximilian of Austria. The Imperial Monarchy was imposed from 1864 to 1867 on Mexico by Napoleon III, Emperor of France (nephew of Napoleon Bonaparte) and the Mexican conservatives "Club de Notables".

In Mexico it is not considered a big deal, however it has been adopted by many in the US. Basically it's a good day to go drink Marguritas and eat Fajitas at Don Pablo's or your favorite Mexican joint.

Thanks for the info., there are so many kind "day" being celebrated here just for commercialism.

My Cinco de Mayo Lunch...on the left a taco carnitas and on the right a tostado cuernitos

The taco wasn't much of a surprise, it was delicioso. The tostado cuernitos was unique. I had no idea what cuernitos are but I found out it was cold pickled tripe. Surprisingly tasty.
Viva comida Mexicana!
