Christmas Tips
All these Christmas posts have got me thinking about gifts...and tips.
Do you hand out Christmastime monetary rewards to your postman, binmen, children's school teachers, office assistant, etc? I've got a pre-schooler and will send something for her teacher, but wonder who else I need to include/consider on the ever-growing list. I've been told that gifts for elementary school teachers are the norm, and that the postman can legally receive a gift up to $25. However, I'm a bit confused about how it all works...and in reality who actually does what. |

Will give the Teacher & class helper a little something, not bothering with the post man, never the same one for long, it's not like home where you would know your Post man & Milk man is it.

That's exactly it--I don't know the postman and never see the binmen, etc. Only guy I ever see is the UPS man--he's here daily as we did most of our shopping online. |

In Hawai'i it's the custom to put out a six-pack (or more) of beer for the trash collectors.
