Default Christmas puddings?

Anybody found Christmas puddings in any US stores? I was checking out our local Brit store British Gourmet and all they seem to have is plum puddings, which I'm guessing are not the same? I might take a trip down there later to see if they have any in the store.

Also, if any of you want to buy christmas crackers, I see some in Robinsons May last week and I am told that Target stock them also. I dont think we will be doing it this year though, as My step daughter gave me the "Your stupid" look when I explained what one was.

I have never managed to find one in 15 years of living here, I usually have mine shipped over from UK. You can also get crackers at Ross, TJ Maxx and Ross right now also have tins of Quality Street for sale, $8.

No a traditional Christmas pudding is sometimes called a "plum pudding" - presumably because it is stuffed full of dried fruit, some of which is, or at least used to be, plums.

For example, a recipe. Or another.
