Can't see it going much cheaper TBH.

KLM has flights from 16th Dec to 30th Dec:

DTW-MSP-LHR and LHR-DTW coming back for $2320 for 3 folk.

"CRAP!"

Jim.

They are also cutting flights out of St Louis next Summer, from something like 250 a day, to under 40 a day! (may not be exact #'s but it's a pita!) There will only be around 9 States that they will fly to directly.

Also try http://www.kayak.com

- it's not a booking engine, but it shows all the various permutations and flight options to the destination you want. You then click on the option which you prefer and it sends you straight to the relevant website.

Wirelessly posted (LG-GR500/V10f Teleca/Q7.0 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 UP.Link/6.3.1.17.0)

i use orbitz.com for all my flights to and from uk and usa.

Also i fly into heathrow as its cheaper then local airports like manchester or exeter. And then use nationalexpress.com for a coach ride to where i need to be. Usually ends up 20gbp for a return coach journey for me.

Depends on what type of 767 was being used.

AA 767-200 = 167 seats

AA 767-300 = 225 seats

AA 757 = 188 seats

So if it went from a 762 to a 757 then seat wise its not a downgrade....

Of course from a 763 its a downgrade based on seat numbers only.

Cheers for all the advice. Looking at what everyone has said it looks like it is just a very expensive time to fly - at least we only have to do it every other year!
