Re: Christmas crackers?

i just had to get some Christmas crackers for the Christmas Day meal at my SIL's so me and my MIL went to the nearest TJ Maxx in PA (it was about 30 mins drive. Seemed that far) and bought the last two boxes of Tom Smith's crackers. Being Christmas Eve, there was 25% off such items so each box cost less than $10.00 each! The gifts inside weren't crappy quality and the jokes were pretty good too! Best of all, the kids really liked the crackers. I hope my SIL will keep up this British tradition.

The Costco crackers were very good...all the gifts were metal not plastic. ie a small tin containing a sewing kit, metal luggage tag. Cost $12.99 for 12 crackers. :)

And the jokes were good too - LOL - after a few Bevvy's and the Christmas hats made your head sweat as good as any other ;)

The Costco ones were great quality, really good bargain.

We bought an extra box and gave them to a friend along with their Christmas present and they absolutely loved them. They took them to the family Christmas dinner. We had printed off some info about Christmas crackers and their history and they sent us photo's of them all wearing the hats.

They said they will be getting them every year now :D
