Christmas came early!!! :-D :-D :-D
Guess who got a care package from my parents today? 
Actually the reason I am posting this is as an FYI... my parents always used to sent a 'small packets' parcel usually the bubble wrap padded envelopes... each one would cost about £10-£12 for about 2lbs in weight. Anyhow they wanted to mail Emily's (my daughter's) christmas presents over as well as goodies for me/hubby and checked in to using other delivery companies the parcel they sent measured 50 x 57 x 45 (inches) and weight 55lbs (25 kilos) they sent it via DHL and cost them £62 (including a fuel surcharge) and there was a LOT of stuff in that box. It was cheaper for them to organise it over the net (instead of over the phone). DHL collect they parcel friday afternoon at 1.30pm and it arrived here at 12.30 this afternoon... that was pretty quick last time they mailed a package via royal mail it took 10 days to get here.

what wasn't in the box!!!
My computer is in my basement and I am too lazy to hike back upstairs
but off the top of my head...
6 packets of angel delight, 4 large bottles of salad cream aprox 20 items of clothing for emily, 6 toys for emily, 6 packets of rich tea biscuits, 6 packets of burtons toffee pops, 2 packets of vimto jammy dodgers, 1 6 pack of walkers cheese and onion and 1 6 pack of pawn cocktail, CD-rom numerous bars of chocolate (bournville, cadbury, frys,)... other sweets licorice allsorts for hubby, pear drops, coconut mushrooms boiled fruit sweets and for some reason my dad sent me tourist information on york not sure why. I knwo I am forgetting stuff too.
With the except of one end of a packet of mintoloes [sp?] that got caught under one of the toys nothing at all was damaged.
