When my kids were in school uniform I found Sears to be good, but that was a while ago, also LLBean online for outdoor stuff.
Also when they were younger I loved Gymboree and Gap, now it's Abercrombie and Aeropostle.
Love Target ( we have several Super Targets within a 30 min drive...bliss!!)
and TJMaxx for all those bargains (got a Coach watch for more than 65% of the RRP the other day
)

I always head to The Children's Place when i'm in the US to stock up for my sons and nieces, as their stuff is lovely. I don't find it particularly cheap, but I think it compares to Next, definitely.

They are an english company but also usa based and have great clothes for younger kids, little more on the pricey side but their stuff is made soooo well!! Great clothes for Mum too

Used to love Gymboree for my little girl, but she's 8 now and has outgrown that.... I like Children's Place, and bought a bunch of stuff for her there yesterday. The prices are pretty reasonable, not overly expensive like Gap, although I like some of their stuff. The trousers aren't probably the best quality material, but when I pay $10 for them, I guess I can't complain too much. I do like the styles they have going now for girls.

These are the coolest kid clothes around imo. And everyone will know you are a Euro family.
Saw a herd of them in Lowe's yesterday, bless their cotton stripped leggings.

Occasionally some of those sweaters do come off a bit to Scandie for me, but I do love the soft cotton underwear and opposite stripe day wear playwear dresses for Dd They stretch like crazy around the middle and last forever, I like them matched with solid coloured leggings not the stripe ones. We end up using the strip ones as Pajama bottoms sometimes.
Dd has one long sleeve stripe dress she's been wearing for three years and it still looks good. She may still fit it this winter.
Here she is in it this summer in UK.
