Default children studying GCSE in US

My family and I are looking to move to the US very soon.
Are there many schools in the US that allow children to study GCSE?
I ask this question in particular to the Chicago area.
I know there is a british school in Chicago, but I am just trying to weigh up other options

SNAP! Same as mine We have a place for him at the local High School in 9th Grade. Sorry, I just wondered, I have no useful advice on British schools in the USA, mine's going into an American school as from Year 7 to Year 9 they aren't in their GCSE years. Had he been going up to Year 10 in September it may have been a different story.

Good luck though, hope it all goes well for you

Private Brit school...perhaps, ring them up, or check the website curriculum, there aren't that many of them. http://britishschoolofchicago.org/

Most would probably cover the IB though and you might find some none private schools offering it, but that would be pretty rare.
