I dont even remember what I was searching, for but I came across this:

Lol, I guess nobody is as sad as me!! :o I was sitting here going "oooh ahhhhh I cant beleive I can remember Ludwig.....and this..... and that...". Of course USC hubby didn't know what the hell I was going on about (except for the Banan splits and Arabian Knights) - so I thought Id share with you guys.

Perhaps I need to get out more :beer:

Affer a long illness...when I was a child.....my nan thought it was a good idea that I spent a lot of time relearning English by watching kids TV.....Bill and Ben comes to mind...LOL!

By the time I went back to school 2 years later...with 3 old French ladies and Bill & Ben as teachers.....I had no hope.....

:D I loved the childrens programes in the 1970's especially Magpie,Bluepeter,Dr Who, does anyone remember The Doubledeckers I think that was the shows name. And of course Crackerjack :D

Im a little younger, but I have fond memories; Dungeons and Dragons, Jossies Giants, rub-a-dub-dub on Sunday mornings, he-man, button moon, dangermouse, wackaday, fun house, rainbow..........................

The Double Deckers is listed under D, I remember Doughnut was the fat kid, Brains had glasses and there was a young girl called Tiger??

You could see the doubledeckers at the pictures Saturday morning....along with Buck Rogers......sixpence to get in from what I remember........

That sounds like my era too; looking back, no wonder we turned out the way we did.;):D

I also see "The hungry catepillar" - one of my favourite books as a child - is to be made into a film.

That has to be one of the all time best kids books "The Hungry Catepillar", bought it for my Daughter who is now 21, and not long ago bought it againe for my young Son.

The lead singer with Aswad was also in Double Deckers, with melvyn hayes as the token adult. ( Aka Gloria in It ain't half hot Mum. )
