Default Changes to Birth and Death Registrations Overseas

So, for example, we can no longer register US births of UK citizens with the British Embassy in Washington DC. This is now handled by a new processing unit in Milton Keynes.

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/c...ns-overseas--2

"The process of registering the births and deaths of British Citizens overseas will gradually be withdrawn from British Consulates during 2014. Thereafter registrations will be carried out in a central registration unit in the UK. The transfer of services will begin on 9 June 2014."

So your PNC file can be deleted and you then no longer have to apply for a waiver.
