Cat travel and Requirements to Florida

Hiya,

We are moving over to Florida in a little over a month.
My house cats are chipped and having their Rabies shots tomorrow. The veterinary nurse mentioned did we need a passport. Just wanted to check that we did, before I went ahead and got them.
Also concerning the microchips, what address do you have on them, I assumed it was the Florida address, but Pet Log told me you can't change it until we arrive in Florida and register with a vet in Florida. So we need to keep all on the U.K details.

Slightly clueless ??

Thanks for any advice !!!!

If there is no chance of your cats returning to the UK there is no need for a pet passport. I didn't bother for ours. They will need a fitness to fly check up and letter less than 10 days before you actually fly.

We flew 3 cats and 3 dogs from gatwick to Orlando. Your vet should be able to help with the paperwork, but we also used airpets to lessen the stress! Id look into if it is possible for them to fly as we needed to move before June as the airline wouldn't fly them in the summer months.
