Car Rental In The US...
Hi there,
Can any one help with this. We are going in just under 3 months and hoped to rent a car for a couple of months before buying one but we both (aged 25 & 26) have had our driving licenses for under 12 months.
We have looked at a couple of rental companies but they seem to say you need to have had your license for 12 months +
Does anyone have any experience of this or know of companies who dont have this rule or any other solutions...
Thanks.

Re: Car Rental In The US...
search past threads...and contact them, if your looking for a long time rental, deals can be made, your over 25 which is the made hurdle as there's only I think enterprise that generally touches any one under 25.
Anyway, the rule is probably for a US license, you'd need to take the test pretty soon anyway, might as well as soon as possible because it'll give you an ID and help get you a better deal on the car insurance.

At age 25, you're still on the higher rates, yes? And if unmarried, an extra fee for the other driver.
Have you looked on craigslist for a cheepo one to buy instead?
You never answered before; what visa will you come with? It will make a difference at the DMV.
