Car Rental at the airport in Edinburgh
 

Hi has anyone rented a car lately at Turnhouse Airport in Edinburgh? Hubby and I are going over in November. Still have to book the flights! Just wondering if any company's are better than others. He will be driving since I don't have a licence. He has a UK licence. We want to rent it for a week. Or if anyone has a suggestiion for car rentals in the UK in general we'd appreciate it! Thanks!

just go online and search the comparison sites, http://www.priceline.com that's a good place to start. there are plenty more to find as well.

Make sure you check UK-based sites as well as US ones, as many have market-differentiated pricing and the UK ones can actually come out cheaper.

Heard a few good reports about CarHire3000 (an opaque site bit like Hotwire) - they were almost the cheapest for a rental I'm doing at Nice in a couple of weeks but Expedia.co.uk just pipped them to the post so shop around.

I use Auto Europe for my clients, they go with whoever is best for the individual situation.

We used Enterprise in Edinburgh (due to BE recommendations) and picked up at a location near the zoo. Everything turned out as planned and it was very easy.
