Car Insurance and No-Claims-Bonus
We're planning to return at the end of this year.
The one thing in my research that I'm stuck on is how much car insurance would be. My husband has been insured claim-free for 30 years, does anyone know if this data can be transferred to british insurers, so they would then offer no-claims-discount? Or do you have to start again? Many thanks |
Re: Car Insurance and No-Claims-Bonus
Mine was, just needed written confirmation of my Australian NCB. Took a copy of my policy statement in and that was it. I did go through a broker though as my wife doesn't have a UK licence so I needed them to ask some questions. Cost 15pounds extra but well worth it to get everything sorted, and I got a bottle of champagne for not going online.

The sad thing about the UK is that if they can overcharge they will as above they will probably honour the NCB but they will load it as you havn,t driven there for a long time
