Canadian Tax is based on residency. I assume you ceased to be a Canadian resident for
tax purposes.

You should pay taxes on all income earned in Canada prior to becoming a US resident.
and US taxes on all money earned in the US after becoming a US resident.

I STRONGLY URGE YOU TO FIND AN INTERNATIONAL TAX SPECIALIST. There are additional
requirements.

warning: usenet newsgroups have lots of OPINIONS, few FACTS. ask your accountant. you
need to find one who understands foreign tax situtations.

the tax forms usually have quite comprehensive explanations.

usenet is not the place to get accurate tax information.

I agree about the opinion part BUT my post WAS factual. It was free advice and worth
every penny.

I am using an International Tax specialist in Boca Raton FL. If you want to pay for
advice they will take your money.

I also suggested that you actually USE an international tax specliaist They are also
very conservative. That is if you provide them with the facts they will completely
satisfy Rev Can and IRS.

I mail 5 forms each April.
