Default Can You Buy Alpro Soya Milk In USA?

Moving to Oklahoma at the end of this month and wanted to know if anyone has bought or seen Alpro Soya in the supermarkets.

Did a quick search on various supermarket websites with no luck so far.

Thanks in anticipation.

It is sold in the UK Whole Foods locations, so if I were you get to your local Whole Foods and get them to special order it for you, if they have a vendor thats selling it, or a distributor, ask to speak to a team leader in non dairy, don't just fill the form out they give you actually get a physical person

I've not seen it.

Silk Soy is really good though and the Trader Joes and WholeFoods own brand stuff is pretty good too.

If buying soy products try and buy Organic. Non organic Soy Products are processed with a chemical called Hexane. It's not very nice.

I use Kirkland Vanilla Soy milk which is Costco's own brand. I really like it.

Yeah, soya is called soy over here. Kind of like Oil of Olay/Ulay.

A quick google suggests Silk is owned by the same parent company as Alpro.

It doesn't taste the same though, I found alpro had a weird aftertaste when I was back home in May. I think you'll find Silk is a suitable alternative, they have it in Walmart and I'm sure every other supermarket.

Thank you every one for your replies.

I have tried many different soya milks here in the UK, including all the varieties of Alpro including organic, plus 3, sweetened and unsweetened but the best (for me) is Alpro Original.

It looks like the brand Silk is the most popular...I wonder if they use that brand in the Starbucks coffee shops? Starbucks and Costa Coffee use Alpro original for their lattes.

Thank you all once again for your advice. It really looks like I'm going to have lots of fun in the supermarkets over there. I can see my husbands shopping face already...(he gets this miserable look when going shopping together)...lol.

It probably varies from store to store, I've found some that did not have unsweetened soy, or they had only the vanilla flavour, both of which I dislike. If you find a local store that doesn't use the type you prefer you could always ask them to get it.

Silk if definitely most likely, but whether it's the right one, plain/sweetened/organic whatever, that'll depend on where you are, more choice in a bigger place, be lucky for the option in a small place in the middle of no where.

I'm in a small town in MS and the Walmarts and another smaller grocery store carry several flavours. You could sign up for Amazon Prime and have it delivered if you can't find what you want locally.

I wasn't talking of the grocery store having it, it's sold everywhere, but if the local coffee shop would offer it like the Starbucks, Dunkin'D's etc.

Just this past year I've been having trouble digesting regular milk (I used to drink 1% or nonfat, but even that was bothering me). So on a trip to Costco, they were giving samples of Silk Vanilla and I loved it! Trouble with Costco is you have to buy 3 containers, that's just way too much for me to get through before it expires, and you can't mix n match.

So I've been buying Silk at Safeway. I've tried Original regular, Original light, Almond, Chocolate regular, and just recently Chocolate light. Silk hasn't given me any digestive problems, and I love it. It doesn't taste like milk, but I love the flavor.

My regular breakfast nowadays is Crunchy Nut cereal with Silk original light on it. Yummmmm.

I haven't seen Alpro around either. Alpro was my favourite soy milk in the UK too (original or light), here I find Whole Foods 365 (their own brand) regular soy milk to be good (not the light version though, it's a bit grey and watery).
