Can someone help me?
Im sorry I've searched for ages now. I know this is not the place to ask this, sorry but does anyone know where I can ask this question?
I came over here on a spousal visa LAST YEAR! December 23 through dublin airport. No one stamped my visa!!!! I only found out about that after going on holiday back home to the usa and coming in they questioned me. They thought this was the first time coming in England because some goofball didnt stamp my visa when I came in December. How can I get this fixed. Will I run into issues when I get my Uk citizenship? also I do have proof! Photos of christmas here(uk)
videos even my boarding pass and air line ticket.

Spousal visa for which country?
I *think* you are referring to the UK, in which case uk-yankees would be a better place to ask
(Or you could make a visit to Croydon...)

Just remember, if it turns out to be difficult to rectify your problem, your local MP is a very useful resource. Seeing him/her at the bi-weekly constituency surgery can set all kinds of quick wheels in motion.

It is no big deal, the stamp it is just to signify its been used and technically now canceled. My wife didn't get hers stamped when she landed at Heathrow. It was spotted several months later when we did a day trip to France. It was stamped then. Never gave her any problems at all in the following years.

They did stamp it in Manchester, but when I apply for my citizenship will they not question how long I've been living In the Uk.
When looking at the passport there will now be some discrepancies? I could be totally barking up the wrong tree here.

You won't necessarily have the same passport then though so the stamp is meaningless so long the visa was processed. I'm assuming you have a greencard or something similar dated from when you moved there?

It sounds as if this is for a UK visa, not US Permanent Resident/green card.

Re: Can someone help me?
So the UK system goes purely on a stamp in your passport rather than a card? Surely there must be some other proof of residency though? Passports get lost all the time.

I think you are making more of it than necessary. The stamp is put on the visa to show it has been used, it is a fraud prevention. If it wasn't stamped much easier to change the photo in your passport and have someone else use it and come in on a visa. There will be other records of when you arrived.
When you got your National Insurance number for one. If the visa has been stamped end of the matter.

You entered the UK (you don't say where) for the first time with a visa dedicated for that purpose. Are you saying that you didn't make sure that the visa was stamped at the UK port of entry? You didn't hand your passport over opened at the visa page? It seems rich for you to blame someone else when you should have been paying just as much attention as them.
The visa is your proof of legal residence. If the passport is lost, a new passport must be obtained and a replacement visa must then be obtained from the UK authorities.

Dublin isn't in England. In fact it's not even in the United Kingdom.

No it just indicates a UK immigration officer examined your passport and admitted you to the UK. It is no proof you are still in the UK legally.
